Farm Week!

This week we have talked about what it is like to live on a farm. We learned about all the animals on a farm and why these animals are so important to us! We were able to learn different songs and fingerplays for this theme and we did lots of fun pretend play with animals masks.

We had fun in the Farmer's Market!

There were lots of different groceries to choose from!

We learned how to check out groceries, pay our bill, and bag them up for later.

We were given clues and took turns guessing what animal was in the barn.

Our sensory table was filled with dry corn animal feed. It was fun plowing the tractor's through this.

We learned how to read this book all by ourselves.
This book helped us learn positional words. There was a picture of one of us on the page. We were either above, under, beside, between, or in the barn.

Here are some of the barn animals we made. These art projects help us learn how to follow multi-step directions, sharpen our scissor handling skills, and build our fine motor muscles.

We sang Old McDonald and each had a farm animal mask for pretending.
Jocelyn was a sheep.

Hayden was a chicken.

Peyton was a dog.

Xavier was a horse.

Matthew was a duck.

Our morning class was able to each choose an animal to make for the barnyard.
