What We are Doing at School...

These past two weeks have been a lot of fun, but I have to admit...I am coming home from school TOTALLY exhausted!!! If I didn't have three kids of my own to take care of, I would go to bed immediately after school.

Last week we mainly focused on learning the schedule, routine, and rules of our new class. I am amazed at how quickly the kiddos are picking up on things and fitting right in! This week our theme was changed to go along with the "Pete the Cat" books: "I Love My White Shoes" and "Rockin' in my School Shoes." The first focuses on colors and the second describes the different  places at school a child visits on a daily basis.

Making Friendship Fruit Salad:
(We talked about how we are all different, just like the fruit added to the salad; yet, we are all  an important part of our classroom. There was one fruit we decided not to put in our salad...the rotten banana! Just like we did not want to add the rotten banana to our salad because it would ruin the taste, we do not want to be a "rotten banana" in our class. We do not want to be the friend that is hurting others in any way!)

These kids LOVE fruit!!! Some had 4-5 helpings full!!!

Having fun with some sensory play in Shaving Cream.

We made duck ponds for our rubber duckies.
