Apple Week

 Our apple color graph.

Getting ready for the apple taste test; red, yellow, and green apples.

The apple peeler/corer/slicer from Pampered Chef was a huge hit and definitely made slicing apples easy!

We made some apple chips in my food dehydrater.

Our sensory tub was filled with "green apples" and worms (aka water gel beads and fishing lure worms).

Our apple taste test and making apple chips:

The finished apple chips; they were delicious! The AM kids ate every last one!
I created a "sticky table" by using contact paper, sticky side up. We useed this to make apple trees and make patterns from different colored apples.

Using fine motor muscles to rip and tear tissue paper for stained glass apples

 Making paper mache apples.

The dramatic play center turned into a fruit/veggie farmer's market. The kids got to grocery shop for different fruits and vegetables. They also got to practice checking the customers out with our cash register and some "money".

Our apple pie from painting paper plates, ripping and tearing tissue paper, and lacing the two together.

The cutest apple trees ever!  We used our fine motor muscles to rip, tear, and cut.

Making apple pies! I accidentally forgot the pie tins and Ms. Janice suggested we use our muffin tins to make little personal pies. They worked out even better than a big pie! Plus, I think the kids liked having their own little pies.

 YUMMY!

We had an apple feast!!!! Mini apple pies, apple chips, and our own homemade applesauce!

 Painting our paper mache apples!

Peyton brought in her Ferret, Lilly, for her letter "F" thing! We loved playing with Lilly, and she was just the sweetest little pet!!!
